Air 21 ends losing skid

The Air 21 Express snapped a three-game losing skid last night, scoring a 110-95 come-from-behind victory over the Sta. Lucia Realtors in the PBA San Mig Coffee Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.

Led by import Shawn Daniels, Air 21 scored an avalanche of points in the third period to erase a 13-point deficit, 61-74, to eventually grabbed the lead, 79-78, as he banged in his free throws 1:25 to go to in the third period.

Daniels, who scored 14 points in the third period alone, lead Air 21 with 30 points. The bulky Air 21 import also had 10 assists.

The efforts of Daniels was supplemented by former UE standout Niño Cañaleta, who finished with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists, as the Express nailed down their second win in five games.

The Realtors led most of the way until the early minutes of the third period behind rookie Alex Cabagnot and veteran Dennis Espino. Espino was trigger-happy because of Cabagnot's assists as the former had already 18 points after the first two quarters.

Realtors import Lennon White had only 13 points while Chester Tolomia, the former PBL MVP, was limited to just two points in the fourth period after scoring a new career-high 22 points.

It was only the Realtors' first loss in four games for a 3-1 win-loss record.
