Mandaue, Danao drop participation in Manila Games

Mandaue City and Danao City dropped its participation in the Manila Youth Games, which is set to open today.
Cheryl Ouano of Mandaue City and Councilor Oscar "Boying" Rodriguez, Jr. of Danao City decided to devote their efforts in the preparation of the 23rd Southeast Asian Games, which Cebu will be co-hosting six events.
Earlier, Team Cebu City decided to forego it participation due to budget constraints.
The MYG is set to open today with more than two thousand athletes and coaches from all over the country and abroad expected to see action.
There are three categories featured namely 12 years and under, 13-15 and 16-17 years old.
The sporting events to be contested are athletics football, little league softball, swimming and taekwondo.
