Paref Springdale, DBTC meet anew in Aboitiz football

Paref Springdale and Don Bosco Technological Center will rekindle its rivalry as the Aboitiz Cup blasts off today with the Boys 12 and 15 tournament at the Cebu International School.
DBTC defeated Springdale 3-0 in the 10th Milo Olympics elementary football crown but it lost to Paref in the semis en route to winning the Aboitiz Youth Festival last Sept. 18.
Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, last year's champion in the boys 15, begged off in this year's edition, while boys 12-under winner Cebu City Central School are donning the Hiroshi Football Team jersey.
The boys 12 has six teams, which is in the preparation for the 2006 CVIRAA and Palarong Pambansa, is divided into two brackets with group A topbilled by Hiroshi Football Club, Bright Academy, Don Bosco College, Colegio dela Inmaculada Concepcion-Mandaue.
Group B will have DB Youth Center, Paref Springdale, CIS and San Roque Football Club. - Sona Mae V. Povadora
