Tiu, Sy share spotlight in Guv bowling

Manny Tiu sizzled in the singles event while Alexis Sy dislodged leader Joe Garces in the all-events of the 1st Governor Gwen Garcia Philippine-Taiwan Bowling Tournament at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.
Tiu of Albert Surplus 2 was consistent and accurate in his throws, toppling a total of 910 pins in four games.
Edwin Apawan of Slingshots Club was 12 pinfalls behind Tiu to round up second after wiping out 898 pins.
Art Dacumos, bannering Sulpicio Lines, Inc., was way down at the third spot wrapping up 863 pinfalls followed by Rocci Damole and her doubles partner Sy of Prima Pasta 7 with 863 and 856 pinfalls, respectively.
On the other hand, Sy of St. Theresa's College propelled her way to the leader board after amassing 2,533 pinfalls in the combined team, doubles and singles event, relegating Joe Garces, Sr. of General Feeds to seventh place.
Dacumos trailed Sy with 2,452 pinfalls, followed by Damole with a similar 2,452 pins, Art Arias of General Feeds with 2,434 and Ely Rubio of Mark0gino with 2,403.
