USC South A logs 2nd straight victory

Small Basketeers of the Philippines defending national champion University of San Carlos South Campus A posted its second straight victory after defeating sister team USC North Campus A, 47-43, in the 16th MILO BEST Cebu SBP/Passerelle Tournament at the USC North Campus Gym.
Joseph Juariza bailed his team out of danger with a lay-up in the dying seconds to secure their second win in as many games.
Juariza dished in 19 points while Aldrich Jo led the losing team with eight points as they absorbed their first loss.
In the other SBP match, USC NC B prevailed over USC SC, 39-37.
Marben Rabuya top scored for USC NC with 11 markers.
On the other hand, defending champion Don Bosco College thrashed USC South, 79-43, to lead in Bracket B in the Passerelle division with two wins against no loss.
University of Southern Philippines Foundation logged its first win, 61-59, over Cebu Institute of Technology.
