Pipeline checks two-game skid

Pipeline Resto Bar hacked out a 98-73 win over Fravu in the 30-above category of the Punta Princesa Sports Association (PPSA) second conference basketball tournament at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.
Pipeline took control from start to finish to log in its first win after two failed attempts. Jimbo Noel and Ric Arias led Pipeline's offense with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Reeve Jumawan added 12 points, while Ciobern Mante and Em-em Jumawan added 10 markers apiece. Pipeline's new player, 6-foot-2 Edgar Aliviado, played a huge role by finishing 10 markers on top of 11 rebounds and five assists.
On the other hand, Kartabz posted the most lopsided win in the tournament following a 109-50 massacre of Khirk Benz in the 40-above category.
Kartabz coasted to a 56-25 lead at halftime and went on to bury Khirk Benz the rest of the way. Sencio Ibo and Toto Lawas churned out 22 and 20 points for Karbatz, which chalked up its second victory.
