Defending champion University of San Carlos South Campus starts its title retention bid today as the Milo Basketball Efficiency Scientific Training Small Basketers of the Philippines and Passerelle kicks off 11 am at the Capitol Parish Church.
Considered as the winningest team, USC South Grade School will try to extend its 10-year dominance in SBP after bagging the title last year, beating Sacred Heart School-Jesuit with coach Saturnino Mayormita at the helm.
Again, USC will rekindle its rivalry with last year's runner-up SHS-J in the main game at 4 p.m. in their opening assignment.
On the other hand, Don Bosco Technological Center has two separate assignments as its first squad entangles against SHS-J at 1 p.m. in bracket B, and Collegio dela Inmaculada Concepcion-Mandaue at 2 p.m.
In the opener, University of Cebu will take on Cebu Institute of Technology in passerelle group A.
