Kimberly Lao dominated the August edition of the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) monthly tournament, while runner-up Bette Goyoco salvaged the July tiara in the ladies division at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.
Lao of Sacred Heart School for Girls bested eight other hopefuls after completing the six-game series with a total of 1,593 pinfalls. She got P1,500 for the feat.
Goyoco knocked down 1,540 pinfalls to grab the P1,000 second prize.
Carol Dacumos swept 1,531 pins to settle for third. She, however, earned the right to represent the month of August in the 'Battle of the Champions' this December since Lao already secured the slot when she won last April.
January qualifier Celi Adolfo ended fourth with 1,526 pinfalls, March champion Nikki Tan tallied 1,496 pins to land at fifth, while June and May title-holders Alexis Sy and Marivic Panuncillo filled up the sixth and seventh spots, repectively.
