Blue pads lead in MCWD chess

The Blue team padded its lead in the MCWD Inter-Color chess team tournament.

The Blue pawn pushers scored 2.5 points in the fourth round beating Yellow to accumulate a total of 11.5 mark.

Janilito Borces tied his match with Early Alegarbes of Yellow while Jose Earl Quisel beat Mardonio Cadavos and Gerard Toreteo defeated Hermione Padillo.

Black team is running second with 9.0 points after winning all but one of its assignment against Red.

Astro Logarto downed Raul Tabasa, Temoteo beat Rigel Tenedo and Chiquito Lataza defeated Tarleyto Tabinas.

Green team took third spot with 8.0 points, Yellow had 6.0 points in fourth place while Red and Orange ranked fifth and sixth, respectively.
