A total of 75 teams gear up for the 2nd San Roque Football Fiesta today at the San Roque football field in Subangdaku, Mandaue.
San Roque, the football hub in Cebu in the 1980's, are reviving its dynamism in football by staging more football events.
San Roque has produced the likes of Oliver Colina, who is now part of the national training pool set to leave in Thailand for the pre-SEAG tournament.
Categories for the two-day affair are players-6, players 8, boys 10, boys 12, girls 12, boys 14, boys 17, girls 17, men's open and 37-up.
Some of the teams who have enlisted to join the seven-aside match include host team San Roque Football Club, Hiroshi Football Club, Maitland Smith, PAREF Springdale, Don Bosco Boys Home, Queen City United, University of Southern Philippines and University of San Carlos. - Sona Mae V. Povadora
