Rañeses signs with Coca-Cola Tigers

Former University of the Visayas Green Lancer Neil Rañeses signed a two-year contract with the Coca-Cola Tigers yesterday, The Freeman learned.
"But the contract will be extended depending on my performance with the PBA, said Rañeses, who was picked 11th over-all in the PBA Rookie Draft the other week.
However, Rañeses refuses to divulge major details about his contract like the monthly salary, which he will be receiving from Coca-Cola since negotiations with the other players are still going on.
Rañeses helped the Green Lancers achieve a grand slam in the Cebu Inter-School Athletic Foundation, Inc.
In the PBL, he also lifted a championship trophy as part of the Viva Mineral Water team in 2004. Also, he won championship titles in the Cebu Basketball Federation, under Hapee Toothpaste and Skygo Tribu Sugbo.
