NBC-Selection to pay courtesy call on Mayor Teddy today

The National Basketball Conference (NBC) Selection, backed by Nature Spring mineral water, will pay courtesy call on Mandaue City Mayor Teddy Ouano today as a gesture of acknowledging his support to the team in its participation to the 9th Crown Prince Invitational Championships from August 25-30, in Haad Yai City in Thailand.
The NBC-Natures Spring Selection is composed of four players from defending champion Tribu Sugbu and three from Hapee-Dewfoam Mantawi Sparkling Knights. The other members of the team are reinforcements from the Laguna-Spring Cooking Oil representing Metro Manila.
The Manila players will arrive today to be accompanied by NBC secretary-general Tito Palma and will proceed to the office of Mayor Ouano. After the courtesy call, there will be a press conference to be attended by the players and coaches Al Solis and Jun Noel of Tribu Sugbu and Hapee, respectively.
The players who will represent the NBC-Nature Spring are Lowell Briones, Neil Rañeses, Rex Mangubat and Doroteo Almacin of Tribu Sugbu; Ardy Larong, Danny Capobres and Maui Huelar of Hapee and Melchor Latoreno, Donn Rez Villamin, Marlon Kalaw and Val Domingo of Laguna.
They are expected to hold a few days of practice here in Cebu before they leave for Thailand on August 24.
The NBC-Nature Spring will meet teams from the other Asian nations including host Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Korea.
