Enduro San MigLight-Cebu rolls off today at SM

The Cebu leg of the Enduro San MigLight Adventure race kicks off 7 a.m. today with around 40 teams from all over the country expected to hurdle the challenges placed strategically in the cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and Talisay.

Elite racers will start off their quest at 7 a.m. while the novice class starts their adventure at 8 a.m. A race briefing will be held before the race starts.

Each team, composed of three members with at least one from the opposite sex, will take off at the starting line at SM City-Cebu and navigate their way through various Control Points CPs set by well-known adventure racer Leo Oracion.

Teams will be asked to perform different tasks in all the CP's. They will also get their instructions for their next destination in the CPs.

Challenges include off-road and street mountainbiking, trail running, ascending, tyrolean traverse, and swimming.

Elite class racers are expected to complete the course in six to eight hours and the novice class will be dealing challenges from three to four hours.

A cash prize of P25,000 awaits the champion in the elite class and P10,000 for the top team in the novice division.
