Flor lands 5th in Euromed bowling

Cebuana Aleson Flor battled down the wire but came short in her campaign as she landed 5th in the 34th Philippine Bowling Congress-Euromed International Open Bowling Championship at Pearl Bowling Center in Parañaque City.
Flor of Cebu Doctors University posted her lowest in the final spin with 150 pinfalls to land fifth in the ladies graded masters event with a total of 2,205 pinfalls after 12 game series, trailing Eve Lombos who tallied a total of 2,229 pinfalls.
Holly Josef of Manila, Marjo Reyes and Malaysian Amalyn Kelana were the top three finishers.
On the other hand, Flor wind up 9th in the youth girls masters after knocking down 1,693 pins behind Sheena Go, a Manila-based Cebuana, who downed 1,764 pins in the 10 games.
An ace bowler from the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, Jomar Jumapao settled for sixth place in the youth boys masters and edging qualifying round top notchers Jeff Chan and JC Tupaz.
Jumapao made 2,021 pinfalls while Chan and Tupaz followed with 2,004, and 1,994 pins, respectively. - Sona Mae V. Povadora
