AICS appointments now online
CEBU, Philippines — The beneficiaries of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) can now schedule appointments online as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-7 partners with Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo for a digitized thrust of its services.
The eGovPH Serbisyo Hub, located in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City, functions as a one-stop shop for government services, allowing residents to book appointments, upload required documents, and access services from various national agencies, including DSWD.
Through the eGovPH mobile application, beneficiaries can now conveniently schedule appointments for AICS services under DSWD-7.
Interested residents may download the eGovPH app from the Google Play Store or the App Store to secure appointments.
Services available through the platform include requests for medical and funeral assistance. Despite the digital booking process, clients are still required to undergo a physical interview and assessment by a social worker to determine eligibility for the assistance sought.
DSWD-7 Regional Director Shalaine Marie Lucero said in a statement that the initiative enhances collaboration among government agencies while making essential social services more accessible to communities in Cebu.
“We are deeply grateful to the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub for enabling this transformative project,” Lucero said.
The Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub is part of the Marcos administration’s push to digitize government services and make them more efficient, accessible, and citizen-friendly.
The Subangdaku Serbisyo Hub is open to the public from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
