Cebu RDS Eagles Club officially chartered

CEBU, Philippines — The Fraternal Order of Eagles celebrated a significant milestone with the official chartering of the Cebu RDS Eagles Club.

Civic leader Michael Osmeña was formally installed as president during the club’s chartering and induction ceremony.

In his address, he emphasized the core values of brotherhood, equality, and service that define the Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles.

“Being an Eagle is more than joining a club. it’s belonging to a purpose,” Osmeña declared, describing the organization as a movement bound by fellowship and a shared dedication to humanity.

He outlined three key benefits of membership: belongingness, empowerment, and fulfillment.

Belongingness, he said, offers a family rooted in service and equality; empowerment cultivates leaders who drive change; and fulfillment arises from the joy of giving “the happiest life is a life of giving.”

Osmeña expressed hope that the organization would remain united and resilient for generations to come. He urged members to view leadership not as a title, but as a call to action, influence, and service.

Reflecting on his personal journey, Osmeña shared that his path began five years ago with a simple invitation from a friend that led to a lifelong commitment to service, fellowship, and leadership.

“Tonight is more than a celebration, it is a declaration,” he said. “We gather not only to witness the birth of a new club, but to renew the spirit that binds us as Eagles.”

He also called on members to be discerning in welcoming new recruits, encouraging the club to “choose wisely” and select individuals “whose hearts, hands, and minds are ready to serve,” emphasizing that passion and purpose must always take precedence over numbers. — (FREEMAN)
