Man arrested for drugs

CEBU, Philippines — A resident of Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, was apprehended by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 Regional Special Enforcement Team (PDEA-7 RSET) during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Camansi, Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City, at around 4:24 P.M. last Sunday.

PDEA-7 acting regional director Alex Tablate only identified the suspect as an alias “Daryl”, 30, jobless, from Guadalupe, Cebu City.

  Confiscated during the operation were a vacuum-sealed transparent plastic pack containing suspected shabu weighing around 1,000 grams with an estimated average market value of ?6,800,000, buy-bust money, one cellular phone, and other non-drug evidence.

  The evidence has been submitted to the PDEA-7 Regional Office Laboratory for chemical analysis and proper disposition.

 Cases for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspect.

Aside from PDEA-7 RSET, the buy-bust operation was conducted together with the PNP Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 7, Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Station 3, Lapu-Lapu City Police Office-City Intelligence Unit City Drug Enforcement Unit, and the PNP Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit.
