Duterte Bakud Maisug rally draws 20K strong

CEBU, Philippines —  Around 20,000 people gathered for the Duterte Bakud Maisug Cebu avance grand rally last night headed by mayoralty aspirant and incumbent Danao City Mayor Nito Durano.

Vice President Sara Duterte joined the Durano-organized rally through a live video call.

She thanked their family's supporters and endorsed PDP's senatorial candidates, as well as their local candidates in Danao City and the 5th District of Cebu led by Danao City Mayor Mix Durano, who is running for 5th District representative.

Danao City Mayo Baste Duterte also gave a message to their family's supporters through a video call.

Senator Imee Marcos addressed the crowd attending the rally through a video message via her representative, Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell.

The Duranos have pledged their support for all candidates under PDP, as well as Senator Marcos, who has been endorsed by the vice president.

Gubernatorial candidate Pam Baricuatro and vice gubernatorial candidate Lito Ruiz also attended the rally.

At the rally, Baricuatro was endorsed by the Duranos and two of PDP's senatorial candidates, Vic Rodriguez and Jayvee Hinlo, who both delivered their respective platform of government.

Israelito Torreon, who represented senatorial candidate Pastor Apollo Quiboloy also spoke about the latter’s platform and advocacies.

A mascot of re-electionist Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa was on hand to dance to the senator’s campaign jingle. (CEBU NEWS)
