CEBU, Philippines —  The two-day One Cebu Northern Caravan culminated in Consolacion Town after 16 hours on the campaign trail with former senator Manny Pacquiao and Senator Pia Cayetano joining the final leg.

In her speech in the jam-packed gymnasium of Consolacion, One Cebu party founder Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said that Cebu chooses to stick to local concerns.

After her speech, she raised the hands of Team Alagad headed by mayor and mayoralty candidate Teresa  Nene  Alegado and former mayor and now vice mayoralty aspirant Joannes  Joyjoy  Alegado and the rest of the councilorial slate.

She also raised the hands of Pacquiao and Cayetano.

Meanwhile, Cayetano thanked the governor for her support in her senatorial bid.

Cayetano spent the other day in Cebu, meeting with local leaders and constituents across Cebu City, Talisay City, Consolacion, and Lapu-Lapu City where she was welcomed by key officials, including the Alayon Team of Talisay Mayor Samsam Gullas, and Team Kaabag of Lapu-Lapu Mayor Ahong Chan.

Cayetano thanked Cebuanos for their continued support, recalling her family s long history of public service.

She highlighted key legislation she authored such as the mandatory hepatitis B vaccination for newborns, the Doktor Para sa Bayan Act, and dormitory funding for state universities like UP Cebu as examples of programs shaped by her experiences as a mother and lawyer.

The governor was also joined by 6th District Congresswoman Daphne Lagon and Ako Bisaya Partylist Congressman Sonny Lagon. The partylist s second nominee Carissa Garcia was also with them.

All barangay captains of the town s 21 barangays showed up in support for the One Cebu Caravan.
