CEBU, Philippines — Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia officially declared the all-out support of One Cebu Party for four senatorial candidates under the Marcos administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.

Former Senator Manny Pacquiao, reelectionist Senator Bong Revilla Jr., former DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, and reelectionist Senator Francis Tolentino joined Garcia during the party’s opening salvo held in 16 towns of the province, starting from Barili and culminating at the home of the governor in Dumanjug the other day.

All four expressed their gratitude to the governor for her support of their senatorial bids.

Garcia said that Tolentino has been instrumental in defending her daughter, Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco, who was previously embroiled in controversy surrounding her department.

The governor emphasized that she is ensuring all members of the One Cebu Party will support the candidates.

Later in the evening, Dumanjug Mayor Gungun Gica assured the governor that in his town, they would support whoever the governor endorses.

During the opening salvo, Ako Bisaya Representative Sonny Lagon also asked Cebuanos to vote for the party list, which has been helping Cebuanos through medical, educational, and livelihood assistance.

Ako Bisaya Partylist second nominee Carissa Garcia, the daughter of the governor, asked the public to remember their party list number, 124, which stands for “1 Cebu 2Day and 4Ever.” — (FREEMAN)
