Capitol distributes P97M infrastructures aid for 2nd District

CEBU, Philippines — In a bid to enhance local infrastructures, the Cebu Provincial Government has allocated P97.7 million in aid for seven municipalities in Cebu’s second district.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, together with Vice Governor Hilario Davide III and Second District Representative Edsel Galeos, distributed the checks to local government unit (LGU) officials during the Caravan of Government Services held recently at the Sec. Cerge M. Remonde Sports & Cultural Center.

Of the amount, the Municipality of Argao received a significant share of the Provincial Government’s assistance, with P8 million allocated to the Mayor’s Office, P5.1 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, and P300,000 each for Barangay Jampang, Barangay Anajao, and Barangay Catang.

The Municipality of Dalaguete was granted P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P5.4 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, and P300,000 each for Barangays Bulak, Maloray, and Bulad.

Similarly, the Municipality of Alcoy received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P5.4 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, while Barangays Daanlungsod, Atabay, and Pugalo were each granted P300,000.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Boljoon was allocated P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P6 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, and P300,000 each for Barangays El Pardo, Arbor, and Granada.

The Municipality of Oslob was granted P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P1.8 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, and P300,000 each for Barangays Hagdan, Alo, and Bangcogon.

Santander town also received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, while the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members were allocated P6.3 million.

The Municipality of Samboan received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P6.6 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members, and P300,000 each for Barangays Canorong, Calatagan, and Camboroy.

Sugbo News, the official media arm of the Capitol, reported that the activity in Argao was the 10th and final caravan for the quarter, emphasizing Garcia’s dedication to improving infrastructure and elevating the quality of life for residents in the second district.

Through this initiative, Garcia aims not only to strengthen local leadership but also to directly benefit residents by improving community infrastructure. — JG (FREEMAN)
