P8M worth of drugs seized in week-long operations
CEBU, Philippines — Over P8 million worth of illegal drugs have been confiscated by Police Regional Office-7 during a week-long operation that resulted in the arrest of 166 individuals.
PRO-7 reported 151 anti-drug operations in Central Visayas netting 1,299.70 grams of shabu worth P8,837,960.
Aside from illegal drugs, PRO-7 also conducted 123 operations against wanted persons resulting in the arrest of 25 most wanted and 125 other wanted individuals.
In the fight against illegal gambling, PRO-7 conducted 162 operations and arrested 225 persons with a total of P21,668 cash confiscated. There were also 72 operations against loose firearms that resulted in the arrest of 20 suspects and the confiscation of six explosives, 123 rounds of ammunition, and 69 firearms. — (FREEMAN)
