Over P10 million worth of shabu seized from 22-year-old

CEBU, Philippines — At least P10.2M worth of shabu weighing 1.5 kilos was seized during a buybust operation by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Talisay City Police Station in Yongco Compound, Brgy. Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu past 12 midnight Friday morning.

The arrested person was identified as Annabel Cabellon Cabriana alias Kolot, 22, with a live-in partner, and a resident of Sitio Hawod, Brgy. Bulacao, Talisay City.

According to authorities, Cabriana started her illegal drug business in 2022. She started as a small-time player and after gaining the trust of her supplier, she was entrusted with keeping kilos of shabu.

Cabriana reportedly could dispose of two kilos of shabu every week in Brgys Bulacao, Candulawan, Tabunok, Lagtang, and San Isidro in Talisay City, and some areas in Cebu City.

Prior to the buybust operation, Cabriana was subjected to a one-week monitoring surveillance after authorities received a report from a confidential informant that she was involved in a large-scale illegal drug business.

After the DEU operatives got enough information regarding her illegal drug activities, they immediately conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in her arrest.

Seized from Cabriana was 15 large packs of 100 grams weighing 1.5 kilos worth P10.2 million, as well as the buybust money.

Cabriana is currently held in the custodial facility of the Talisay City Police Station to be charged with violation of Sec.5 and Sec.11 Art, ll RA 9165. (CEBU NEWS)
