P4,000 for each Mandaue City College graduate

Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Mandaue City Lone District Representative Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon has announced a P4,000 financial assistance for each graduating student of Mandaue City College (MCC) this year.

To qualify, they must submit a certificate of enrollment (2nd semester of School Year 2023-2024), 2) and a national ID or any government-issued ID on or before 4 p.m. today.

“Mohatag ko P4,000 each sa mga graduating students sa Mandaue City College karon,” Ouano-Dizon she told The Freeman.

She said she was enthusiastic about the assistance since its primary goal is to support and encourage students to complete their college education.

“This educational program aims to provide financial assistance to poor but deserving students in college, bisan pa man sa giatubang nila nga suliran.” Ouano-Dizon said.

Meanwhile, the congresswoman, in a public advisory, announced that membership of “OuanoCare” is free.

“Those who want to be a member of OuanoCare should only to fill up an Ouanocare form, but no fee is collected,” she said.

This came after reports reached her of unscrupulous individuals who use OuanoCare forms that look legitimate in asking for P100 from the victims.

This, she said, is a scam, because the legitimate OuanoCare membership with payment is a scam because OuanoCare membership has no fees involved.

The congresswoman further said that the purpose of OuanoCare is to help those who need assistance, including but not limited to medicine, education; livelihood, among others. -  RHM (CEBU NEWS)
