CEBU, Philippines — The dead body of a man was found inside a sack dumped off a cliff in Barangay Santicon, Badian town, yesterday morning.

According to Police Captain Jerwin Battung, officer-in-charge of the Badian Police Station, it was a 17-year-old boy who discovered the dead body at past 7 a.m. yesterday.

But since Barangay Santicon was a remote area, the gruesome find was only reported to the police past 10 a.m.

Since the already-decomposing body could not be easily identified, the Badian Police Station immediately called Scene of the Crime Operations to process the dead body.

The Badian police surmise that the body was just dumped in the area because they did not receive any report of a missing person. The investigation is still ongoing. — (FREEMAN)
