BOC-7 collects over P4B revenue in April

CEBU, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs in Central Visayas has logged over P190 million in revenue collection surplus for the month of April.

District Collector Romeo Allan Rosales reported a total collection of P4,074,431,634.72 for the month of April. The amount is five percent higher compared to their target collection of P3,880,240,000.

Rosales, who recently assumed office, was grateful for his team for having posted a net surplus of of P194,191,634.72 for the month of April.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the hardworking employees of the Port of Cebu for their outstanding performance in surpassing our revenue collection target for April 2024. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without their unwavering support and dedication. I am truly grateful for their commitment to excellence and their tireless efforts in upholding the principles of service, integrity, and professionalism,” said Rosales.

He also credited for the accomplishment his deputy collector for assessment, Atty. Marc Anthony Patriarca and assessment division chief Atty. Kenneth Kernn Sesante.

For 2024, the BOC-7 has a total target of  P45.970 billion wherein the Port of Cebu has an annual target of P37.5 billion; Port of Dumaguete has an annual target of P7.1 billion; while the sub-port of Mactan has an annual target of P1.2 billion.

To date, BOC-7 has already collected a total of P13.657 billion from January to April of this year. — (FREEMAN)
