Woman falls with drugs worth over P700,000
CEBU, Philippines — An alleged high-value individual was arrested Monday evening, March 25, during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City.
Police identified the suspect as Mae Ann Maravillon Galupo, who is said to be a member of a drug group operating in Cebu City. She can allegedly dispose of at least 100 grams of shabu every week.
Operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Carbon Police Station subjected Galupo to two weeks surveillance before the buy-bust operation was conducted resulting in her arrest.
Seized from her possession were several packs of suspected drugs weighing around 105 grams with an estimated value of P714,000. Also recovered was a sling bag containing the P15,000 buy-bust money.
The suspect is currently detained at the Carbon Police Station while charges are being readied for filing. — (FREEMAN)
