Woman arrested with drugs worth nearly P7 million
CEBU, Philippines — Nearly P7 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Cebu City Police Office in sitio Puntod 2, Barangay Mambaling on Thursday dawn.
Led by Police Major Jonathan Bethooven Taneo, the operation resulted in the arrest of a high-value individual identified as Hazel Semontiza Barrera, 28 years old, unemployed and living in the said place.
Barrera was found with 1,008 grams of shabu worth P6.8 million.
According to the CCPO report, the suspect was monitored by the authorities for one month.
They also learned that the arrested person can dispose of one to two kilos of illegal shabu in a month.
The police believe that the arrested person has been involved in this illegal activity for a long time considering the amount of illegal drugs that was seized. — /GMR (FREEMAN)
