PRO-7, NegOr officials work for sustainable drug program

CEBU, Philippines —  The Police Regional Office-7 has conducted a Sustained Barangay Drug-Clearing, Multi Sectoral and Workplace Resiliency with Integrity and Transparency Program through collaboration with newly-elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials of Negros Oriental.

Present were Police Lieutenant Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Chief for Administration; and Undersecretary Terence Calatrava of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas.

The event, held at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center, Capitol Area in Dumaguete City, was attended by 1,300 individuals from barangays of Negros Oriental.

Also attended the event were Governor Manuel "Chaco" Sagarbarria, Police Colonel Ronan Claravall, provincial director of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office; station commanders and other guests.

In a statement, Sermonia pointed out that the integrity of the program involves the proper implementation of discipline, police operational procedures, and command responsibility that the Negros Oriental police officers should respect to increase the good image of the police organization.

He also urged the police and barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials to submit to the drug test. (CEBU NEWS)
