4 Cebu LGUs to receive anti-illegal drug awards
CEBU, Philippines — At least four local government units in the Province of Cebu are among the 14 recipients of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program Special (CBDRP) Awards nationwide.
These are Bogo City, Consolacion, Daanbantayan and Danao City.
The four LGUs are the only recipients of the CBDRP Awards from Central Visayas.
Other awardees come from Region I, IV-A, V, VII, X and National Capital Region.
The awarding ceremony will be held during the 2023 Anti-Drug Abuse Council Awards on November 22, 2023 at Crowne Plaza Galleria, Ortigas in Metro Manila.
In a memorandum dated November 20, 2023, Department of Interior and Local Government Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo Iringan said that the local chief executives of the above-mentioned LGUs and the corresponding DILG City Director or City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers are requested to attend and receive the recognition and commendations.
Iringan also directed all concerned DILG regional directors to extend the invitation to the concerned LGU Commendation Recipient and ensure the confirmation of attendees. — (FREEMAN)
