Capitol to upgrade north bus terminal
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu North Bus Terminal (CNBT) will have an upgrade to improve its operation for passengers.
The Cebu Provincial Economic Enterprise Council has approved the proposal of Topline Group of Companies to upgrade the provincial-run terminal located at the open parking space at SM City Cebu in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
The upgrade includes putting a canopy and chairs for the passengers.
Topline's president and chief executive Erik Lim told the Governor Gwendolyn Garcia about the firm's plan to improve the CNBT which serves Cebuanos in the northern towns.
Lim told Garcia during their meeting on June 2 that they will also implement the automated ticketing system in CNBT to improve the passenger flow at the terminal especially during peak season just what they did at the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT), also a provincial-run terminal located in Natalio Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City.
Garcia, who chairs EEC, agreed and approved the proposal of Lim.
With this, a memorandum of agreement (MOA) is expected to be signed by the officials of the Capitol, Topline and the management of SM to realize the said undertaking. — (FREEMAN)
