Ban eyed vs drivers involved in brawl
CEBU, Philippines — Cebu North and South Bus Terminal manager Carmen Quijano is studying the possibility of banning drivers and others who have been involved in a scuffle in the terminal here recently.
Quijano, in an interview over Balitang Bisdak, said that such an incident already reached her office and said it pains her.
“It’s dishearting in my part kay di ko gusto unsa unyay ikasulti sa gobernador,” Quijano said.
Quijano went to relay what was also reported to her by eyewitnesses, but she wanted to hear the whole incident and called those involved to report to her office and air their side.
“Gipatawag sad nako ang driver, pero ni leave kuno,” added Quijano.
The terminal manager also said she will be asking the Provincial Attorney’s Office if she can possibly ban those involved as well as other appropriate actions against them.
“I’ll ask the lawyer sa Kapitolyo kung pwede ba ako ba e-ban?” Quijano said.
Such an incident should not be taken lightly, said Quijano, as it does not only affect her own reputation but Cebu tourism as a whole.
“My heart bleeds for this kay makauuwaw kaayo ni,” Quijano said while also apologizing to Governor Gwendolyn Garcia on the incident.
With this, drivers and conductors are asked to go to Quijano’s office instead to settle whatever issues they will have in the future.
“Drivers and conductors, please kung duna moy kasuko tagsa-tagsa come to my office for confrontation and to settle it out para dili madako,” pleaded Quijano. (FREEMAN)
