Philippines to use new system for incoming passengers

CEBU, Philippines — All inbound travellers will soon be using the eArrival Card starting November 1, in lieu of the One Health Pass.

The Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) will be utilizing the e-Arrival Card scan-and-go system in airports for ease of travel.

Travelers should register for an eArrival Card within 72 hours prior to their scheduled flight via the onehealthpass.com.ph to avoid inconveniences upon arrival.

Pre-registration to the eArrival platform will be mandatory starting November 1, 2022.

Only travel details, profiles, and health declarations will be requested.

After successfully registering, a QR code is then generated as a “scan and go” mechanism to reduce processing time at points of entry.

The eArrival Card is free of charge for all travellers and may be temporarily accessed through the official website onehealthpass.com.ph pending the launch of the new platform and website and its shift to the official government domain.

“Through the eArrival Card, we hope to reduce delays and eliminate inconvenience for our travellers. We likewise aim to support the tourism sector in the country while ensuring the health and safety of both foreign and Filipino travellers,” said DOH Officer-in-Charge Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire.

As recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), the Department of Health, along with the BOQ, has developed a unified platform and with the support of the Department of Information & Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Bureau of Immigration (BI).

“The DOH, through the close monitoring and coordination of the BOQ with other agencies, aims to alleviate our kababayans and inbound travellers from the stress and inconvenience of international travel. Through the eArrival Card, we want to make processing easier and faster while maintaining health regulation and monitoring,” said Health Regulation Team Officer-In-Charge Undersecretary Charade Mercado-Grande.
