On Kasambagan bar incident: CCPO sets dialogue between bar owners, barangay execs
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office is set to hold dialogue with bar owners and officials of Barangay Kasambagan this week.
This was revealed by Police Lt. Col. Wilbert Parilla, deputy city director for administration of the CCPO.
The aim of the dialogue is to agree on the steps to be taken to prevent a repeat of what had happened the previous day when a rumble occurred among a group of young people.
In fact, the video has gone viral on social media and recently another video has spread on social media which is said to have happened in Panagdait Road where a group of young people were fighting.
That report has reached the Cebu City police and like the first incident, they are now investigating.
“That would be an additional issue sa diha nga area sa Kasambagan so again amo nang gi-direct ang COP to call the attention sa tanang bar owners diha to have a dialogue with us together with the Peace and Order (Committee) Council chairman to talk with the incident especially sa kana nga series of incidents diha,” said Parilla.
He said the participation of barangay officials is important to really analyze what is best to do.
Parilla said that starting this Friday, the police will conduct an inspection of the drinking establishments to check if there are minors during curfew hours. — GMR (FREEMAN)
