CHAMP satellite office in hospitals eyed
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Hospitalization Assistance and Medicines Program (CHAMP) will set up a satellite office at its accredited hospitals to give an easy access to people availing of its services.
As reported in the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), Jojo Lingaolingao, head of CHAMP, said she already asked the accredited hospitals of CHAMP to provide them space inside, where they could be stationed.
“Mag-deploy ko og empleyado tulo kabuok. The LOA (letter of authority) maker, the interviewer, unya ang usa motabang nila kay para ang pasyente dili na bitaw modagan diri ug asa mi. Kanang ma-congested ta ba kay maluoy baya pod ta so didto nalang (sa tambalanan),” said Lingaolingao.
Lingaolingao said the target is to deploy these CHAMP personnel on July 1, 2022 as Mayor Michael Rama begins his fresh term.
She disclosed that there are already three hospitals that have agreed to their request.
“So far ang ni-commit karon sa amoa is Ace Medical Center, Southwestern University Medical Center, St. Vincent (Hospital). Kana pa sila maoy ni-commit, and of course our CCMC (Cebu City Medical Center),” she said.
Lingaolingao said she is still negotiating with other accredited hospitals in connection with the plan.
“Amo pang gi-negotiate. Like, for example, daghan man sad kaayo og offices ang Chong Hua (Hospital) di pa sila kasanong for now so ila pa kuno karong i-brought up. Ingon ko, mas easy man ang access kung naa na diha kay dagan-dagan pa gani diri unya kuwangan ang papeles balik nasad sa hospital. Whereas, kung naa ra diha, diretso-diretso na,” said Lingaolingao.
CHAMP is looking forward for the response of the Perpetual Succour Hospital, Miller Hospital, Cebu Doctors Hospital, among others. — GMR (FREEMAN)
