2 killed, 1 hurt in shooting incidents

CEBU, Philippines —  Two persons were killed while one was injured in separate shooting incidents in Argao town and Danao City, Cebu yesterday.

The first incident was reported in Barangay Talaytay, Argao, resulting in the death of Romnick Villafuerte, 32.

Dondie Caminero, 19, also suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Based on initial police investigation, the victims were playing billiards when the suspects approached

Villafuerte and shot him multiple times.

Caminero was standing close to Villafuerte when the shooting happened.

Police have yet to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the shooting.

Authorities are also checking on the background of Villafuerte.

Meanwhile, Eleuterio Torriffel, 43, succumbed to gunshot wounds in another shooting that transpired in Purok Toong, Barangay Dunggo-an, Danao at 2:30 a.m.

“Giingon nga ang biktima nipalit og kaka sa dihang duha ka mga suspetsado ang nipusil niya sa makadaghan nga higayon nga maoy hinungdan sa iyang kamatayon,” police said. — Reports from Banat News, KQD (FREEMAN)
