Teacher caught in motel with paramour
CEBU, Philippines — A public school teacher allegedly having an illicit affair with a married barangay councilman from Toledo City was arrested inside a lodging house in Pinamungajan town on Friday.
Police Executive Master Sergeant Peter Cuanso Jr., chief investigator at Pinamungajan Police Station, said the wife of the councilman sought for police assistance after she found out that her husband and the teacher have checked in at a lodging house.
"Nakadawat mi og tawag gikan sa wife nga nangayo og police assistance kay iyang bana ngadto sa lodging in," Cuanso said.

The councilman, however, was able to escape and eluded arrest. Cuanso said the councilman allegedly got the chance to escape during the commotion when the responding police officers arrived at the scene.
On the other hand, the teacher, who is also married and resident of Toledo City, was found trying to escape through the ceiling.
"Ang babaye nga kauban niya ngadto sa room nisaka ngadto sa kesame unya nibalhin sa laing room. Natagak gani kuno ang aircon gitungtungan siguro pagnaog gikan sa kesame," Cuanso said.
Cuanso said they will be filing today a criminal complaint for concubinage against both the councilman and the teacher. — FPL (FREEMAN)
