CEBU, Philippines —  Over 100 motor vehicles were caught violating the no-parking policy at the immediate vicinity of the Basilica Minore Del Santo Niño on the second day of novena masses.

The Cebu City Transportation Office reported that 37 motorcycles had been towed yesterday because these were parked along the no-parking zone. CCTO personnel also clamped 80 vehicles for overnight parking.

CCTO officials are reminding the devotees to park their vehicles at the designated parking areas near the Compaña Maritima Building at the back of Cebu City Hall and at the Plaza Independencia near the Central Post Office.

Motorists are also warned that the city traffic office is strictly implementing the no parking policy at the vicinity of the Basilica to avoid traffic congestion in the area.

The CCTO has encouraged the devotees to leave their vehicles at home and walk or take the public transport in going to the Basilica.  FPL (FREEMAN)
