CSBT to tap PNP PDEA for “Undas” holidays
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) will be employing help from various government agencies, as it prepares for the surge of passengers during the Halloween season.
According to Carmen “Beauty” Quijano, Governor Gwen Garcia is concerned about the safety of homebound passengers during the Undas holidays, so the CSBT will be asking for help from the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
“Ang kalinaw importante kaayo na kay atong gobernador di man siya gusto ug naa’y samok. Peace and order gyud ang gikinahanglan niya,” Quijano said.
She added that the additional personnel will be requested for October 28 to 31. During these days, a throng of individuals is expected to troop to the CSBT to return to their hometowns.
To make sure there will be enough rides to accommodate the increase in outgoing passengers, Quijano said that she will look into additional drivers that will be available 24/7.
She also reminded drivers to practice ample safety precautions and remain focused while on the road.
“Kung mahimo unta, di mag-overtake kay delikado na,” she said. — GAN (FREEMAN)
