4 nabbed for drugs in Lapu-Lapu
CEBU, Philippines - Four people were arrested in Lapu-Lapu City during a separate buy-bust operations last week.
Adela Bancale, 46, and her son, Dexter, 21, were arrested Thursday in Barangay Mactan after they allegedly sold shabu to policemen during a sting operation.
Chief Inspector Conrado Manatad, station commander of Mactan Police Station 2, said they seized 305 packs of shabu from Adela and her son estimated to be worth P60, 400. The police also recovered several drug paraphernalia.
On Wednesday, elements of the City Intelligence Branch also arrested Kent Yves Blanco, 21, and Julius Bacunawa, 20, in Sitio Parola, Barangay Ibo.
Senior Inspector Mark Gifter Sucalit, CIB chief of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, said around 35 small packs of suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspects with an estimated value of P17,000.
The police also recovered P600 cash and the P200 marked-money used in the buy-bust operation.
The four suspects were already charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (FREEMAN)
