2 minors arrested for burglary

CEBU, Philippines - Two minors, aged 13 and 15, were taken into police custody after they were accused of breaking into a house in Barangay Canamucan, Compostela last Friday.

Rae Dela Cruz reported to the police after he discovered that his gadgets were already gone. Initial investigation revealed that the burglars gained entry into the house by breaking the glass panel at the window of the comfort room.

The minors allegedly took the Lenovo tablet, mobile phone, and P500 cash of the victim.

The minors were identified by witnesses who saw them breaking into the house of Dela Cruz. The suspects were tracked by the police in Barangay Ouano, Mandaue City.

The police recovered the stolen items which were already sold to the neighbors of the two minors.

The police took custody of the two minors and later turned over them to the Municipal Social Worker and Development Office.

Collector Robbed

Meanwhile, two unidentified armed persons carted away close to P200,000 cash from a lending firm collector in Barangay Media Once, Toledo City.

Ryan Gargar, 27, collector of Gold Digger Credit and Collection Services, reported to the police that he was robbed by two unidentified armed men on Friday.

Initial investigation revealed that the victim was driving a motorcycle when the unidentified robbers allegedly blocked his way and pointed a gun at him. One of the robbers took his bag containing P27,000 cash; mobile phone; and a wallet containing P150,000 cash. —/FPL (FREEMAN)
