Bryner L. Diaz - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Two suspected drug pushers were arrested by the police in two separate buy-bust operations that led to the confiscation of at least P120,000 worth of suspected drugs in Argao town.

Harold Patigayon, 57, was arrested past 3 p.m. on Friday in Barangay Poblacion, Argao town after he sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 to a police poseur-buyer.

A team from the Argao police operatives, led by Senior Inspector Alejandro Batobalonos, went to Barangay Poblacion to transact with Patigayon after they received several reports on the latter’s alleged illegal activities.

The poseur-buyer then asked the suspect to sell him a pack of suspected shabu for P200 and immediately after the transaction, Patigayon was arrested.

The police immediately frisked the suspect and recovered ten small packs of suspected shabu and confiscated a medium pack of suspected shabu worth P119,180.

The buy-bust money was also recovered from the suspect’s possession.

Patigayon was brought to the police station and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Arrested in Bogo

Meanwhile, another suspected drug pusher and his suspected cohort, who is a minor, were arrested by the same team in Sitio Bakat, Barangay Bogo past 5 p.m. on Friday.

Jason Famulagan, 35, and his 17-year-old alleged cohort, were arrested after they were caught selling drugs by the police in a buy-bust operation.

Famulagan sold to the police a pack of suspected shabu worth P500 while the minor was also arrested since he was present during the transaction acting as the suspect’s henchman.

The police immediately placed the two under arrest after the transaction was consummated.

During the body search, the police recovered 11 small packs of suspected shabu from Famulagan.

The buy-bust money and a digital weighing scale were also recovered by the police. The minor is scheduled to be examined by the City Social Welfare Development Office to determine if he acted with discernment for the possible filing of a case against him.

Famulagan will be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —/ATO (FREEMAN)
