3 PB members has most number of absences

CEBU, Philippines - At least three members of the Cebu Provincial Board incurred the most number of absences from January to August this year.

Board Members Arleigh Sitoy, Christopher Baricuatro, and Alex Binghay all incurred five absences.

Based on the records of the board secretary, out of the five absences incurred by Binghay, only one was considered official business. Sitoy, who is the majority floor leader, was marked absent on two occasions and on leave in three sessions.

Baricuatro, on the other hand, was on leave twice and on official business for three session days.

Board Members Joven Mondigo and Grecilda Sanchez both have four absences. Mondigo was merely absent on one occasion and missed another session due to some illness. He was also on leave for one Monday and on official business on another session day.

Sanchez was on official leave for three session days and absent on one session.

The board holds regular session every Monday. Since January until August 10, the board has conducted a total of 29 regular and special sessions.

Of these sessions, Board Members Peter Calderon and Carmen Meca missed three sessions each.

Board Members Sun Shimura and Thadeo Ouano missed two sessions while PB members Celestino Martinez III, Yayoy Alcoseba and Jude Thaddeus Sybico each missed one session.

Three members of the board, including the presiding officer, had a perfect attendance. They are Board Members Julian Daan and Miguel Magpale, and Vice Governor Agnes Magpale. — (FREEMAN)
