4 charged with kidnap-slay
CEBU, Philippines- The prosecutor’s office in Carcar City has indicted four people for kidnapping with homicide and recommended no bail for their temporary liberty.
City Prosecutor Anabelle Robles has found probable cause to hold Clifford Bargamento, Octavio Aleonar, Charlie Alcoy, and Johnny Abria for trial.
“All told, the evidence presented is sufficient to establish probable cause that the instant crime has been committed, and that the respondents, acting in conspiracy with each other, are probably guilty thereof and should be held for trial,” the resolution read.
Teresita Warnac, a resident of Barangay Villadolid, Carcar City, said her son, Marianito, was kidnapped on November 27, 2014 and was found dead the following day.
Warnac said she learned about the death of her son from a news report on television. She said the news report said that a dead person with tattoos on the body was found in Barangay Lanas, Naga City on November 28.
According to Warnac, the description of the tattoo resembles to that of her son, prompting her to check the dead person at the funeral homes in Cebu City.
Warnac said that before her son was kidnapped, the four accused had been looking for Marianito. In fact, they allegedly went to their residence looking for her son from November 24 to 26.
The accused were on board a black Nissan Cube with plate no. JEY 554. Warnac said Marianito told her that he did not want to go with the accused because he is uncomfortable with them.
However, on November 27 at 7:30 p.m. the victim was forcibly taken by the accused in Sitio Tangasan, Villadolid. The incident was witnessed by Edgar Languido.
The witness said he saw the victim pushed into the black Nissan Cube.
The victim was found dead with blunt traumatic injuries to the head, fractures in the neck, trunk, and extremities. (FREEMAN)
