Civil Service thanks public for support
CEBU, Philippines - The Civil Service Commission is grateful for the continued support of the public and other government offices in their 2014 programs and projects that earned them five breakthroughs and victories.
The CSC, as it continues to be the center of excellence for strategic human resource and organization developer in the public sector, cited the following breakthroughs:
First, the CSC Central Office with Region III, VI, VII and XI, ARMM and NCR obtained the IiP Standard Accreditation after meeting 39 good people management practices based on the IiP Framework.
In a statement, the CSC said, it is the first government agency in the Philippines and Southeast Asia to obtain such accreditation.
Second, CSC chairman Francisco Duque was awarded by the People Management Association of the Philippine as the People Manager of the Year in public sector.
Third, CSC gets its fourth Governance Trailblazer Award during the Institute for Solidarity in Asia’s Public Governance Forum and hurdles the Institutionalization Stage of the Performance Governance System.
Fourth, CSC also receives another ISO certificate from TUV Rheinland.
It said that the ISO 9001:2008 of the CSC Quality Management System includes the Accreditation and Registration Services for Employee’s Organizations, Cases Adjudication, Examinations, Appointments Processing and Provision for External Training Services.
Lastly, five CSC regional offices were rated excellent last year based on the result of Pulse Asia’s awareness, availment and satisfaction rating of selected government services.
“The CSC draws inspiration from the 2014 awards and recognition as it commits to build a responsive and competent government workforce,” the statement reads. (FREEMAN)
