Nigerian goes “wild”, arrested
CEBU, Philippines - A Nigerian national was arrested Thursday afternoon after he reportedly went wild and displayed rude behavior against a councilman and a policeman in Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City.
Ilasanmi Kayode Tosin, 23, was reported by a cashier of Balamban Liempo at Urgello Street, Barangay Sambag II for allegedly stalking her and touching her private parts and her breast.
Tosin was invited to the barangay hall to answer the allegation but when Councilman Ryan Aznar informed him of his misdemeanor, the suspect started punching and kicking the barangay official. Tosin also reportedly threatened to kill Aznar.
Aznar immediately called for police assistance but he also resisted arrest.
Police Officer 2 Ullyses Reales, who handcuffed Tosin, sustained bruises during the struggle to neutralize the erring Nigerian national.
Tosin reportedly uttered bad words against Aznar and Reales.
The Nigerian national had no passport to present. Tosin was a former student of South Western University and has no permanent address in the city.
He is now detained at Fuente Police Station. He will face charges for acts of lasciviousness, direct assault, threat, resistance, and disobedience to a person in authority. (FREEMAN)
