Major revamp among LTO heads in Region 7

CEBU, Philippines - The Department of Transportation and Communications has implemented a major revamp of heads of different branches of the Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas. The reason: So affected heads could not tamper with documents while their offices are being subjected to audit.

LTO-7 Acting Director Arnel Tancinco said the order for reshuffling was issued by DOTC Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya sometime last October but his office received a copy of the same only a few days ago.

Abaya said the reshuffling of the LTO district heads was implemented “in the exigency and best interest of the service,” but it was based on the recommendation of Tancinco.

Armando Avila will now be the head of LTO-Carcar district office; Eugene Gador of LTO-Mandaue; Adela Ybañez of LTO-Talisay City; Vicente Gador Jr. of LTO Toledo City; Erwin Patalingjug of LTO Tagbilaran City; Fernando Bustillos of LTO Cebu City licensing center; Cynthia Duterte II of LTO Mandaue City licensing center; Francisco Nailon Sr. of LTO-SM City; Macario Getaruelas of LTO-Medellin; Rosenda Esoy of LTO Tagbilaran City; Maria Deanna Grace Nosdo of LTO Lapu-Lapu City; Angeles Enoc of LTO-Talibon, Bohol extension office; Samuel Alabat Sr. of LTO-Jagna, Bohol; Alberta Janine Lawas of LTO Bayawan City;            Lourdes Villegas of LTO Bais City; Marliza Elesterio of LTO Dumaguete City; and Agnes Pinili of LTO Robinsons satellite office, Dumaguete City.

Abaya also directed Editha Soco to return to her post at the LTO-7 operations branch, Sandre Rosendo Padriga and Roland Ramos to the LTO-7 office, and Julieta Cielo to report as acting cashier of the LTO Robinsons satellite office in Dumaguete City.

Abaya directed the concerned LTO officials to turn over properties and accountabilities in the presence of members of the Regional Internal Audit Service and property personnel before they move to their new posts. – (FREEMAN)
