‘No Registration, No Travel’ implementation deferred
CEBU, Philippines - The Land Transportation Office is tentatively moving the date of implementation of the “No Registration, No Travel” policy to November 10 instead of October 16 or today.
“Currently, LTO is discussing readiness of its implementation and issues raised by stakeholders,” said LTO-7 Director Arnel Tancinco.
It can be recalled that last July 2, Tancinco issued a directive requiring all its operation divisions to apprehend all motor vehicles without plate numbers.
The said directive was in line with the recently implemented Joint Administrative Order No. 2014-01 or revised schedule of fines and penalties for violations of laws, rules and regulations governing land transportation of the Department of Transportation and Communication, the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board and the LTO. — (FREEMAN)
