Bryner L. Diaz - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested an alleged drug pusher who yielded over P100,000 worth of suspected shabu and firearms during a raid in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City yesterday.

Suspect Rolito “Roy” Caja, 45, yielded several packs of shabu and two handguns during the operation carried out in his house in sitio Motra by Punta Princesa Police.

Caja was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Wilfredo Navarro of the Regional Trial Court Branch 19.

Chief Inspector Noli Cernio, chief of Punta Princesa Police Station, said they implemented the warrant at past 4 am yesterday to reportedly make sure that Caja was still inside his house.

The operation yielded suspected shabu packed in at least 16 assorted sizes of plastic packs and a snub nose cal. 38 revolver with three live ammunition.

Caja did not resist arrest and was brought to the police station for proper disposition.

The illegal drugs were sent to the PNP Crime Laboratory-7 for chemical analysis.

The suspect will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (sale) and 11 (possession) of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the suspected pushers of “fly high” drugs who were arrested by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 7 in a buy-bust operation on Thursday night in Barangay Lahug will be facing charges today.

Charges for selling and possessing shabu will be charged against suspects Jose Rafael Dizon and Richard Tan.

Dizon and Tan reportedly sold to a PDEA-7 undercover agent 67 capsules of fly high drugs worth P1,500 each. The total street value of the illegal drugs is said to be P100,500.

When the transaction was consummated, Tan and Dizon were immediately placed under arrest.

The confiscated drugs were subjected to chemical analysis and yielded positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride and Sildenafil, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction.  (FREEMAN)
