Customs honors exporters, importers

CEBU, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs-Port of Cebu on Monday honored its top exporters and importers in celebration of its 128th Founding Anniversary.

The top ten importers were Steel Asia Manufacturing Corporation, Carmen Copper Corporation, Apo Cement Corporation, Toledo Power Corporation, KEPCO SPC Power Corporation, Cebu Energy Development Corporation, Tridharma Marketing Corporation, Zone Lane Trading, Petronas Energy Philippines and Conwell Express Marketing.

Meanwhile, the top ten exporters were Carmen Copper Corporation, Pilipinas Precious Metal Resources, Profood International Corporation, FMC Philippines Incorporated, PEBA Trading and Manufacturing Corporation, CP Kelco Philippines Incorporated, Shemberg Marketing Corporation, 7D Food International Incorporated, Dedon Manufacturing Corporation and Philippine Mining Service Corporation. 

BOC-Cebu likewise honored the top ten exporters of the Philippine Export Processing Zone. They were Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, Cebu Mitsumi Incorporated, Lear Automotive Services, Ricoh Imaging Products (Philippines) Corporation, Teradyne Philippines Ltd., Funai Electric Cebu Inc., Tiayo Yuden (Philippines) Incorporated, Muramoto Audio-Visual Philippines, Incorporated, Pentax Cebu Philippines Incorporated and Fairchild Semiconductor (Philippines) Incorporated.

The Bureau of Customs gave these awards to importers and exporters  in recognition of their contributions to the bureau’s revenue collection. — (FREEMAN)
